winner of the 2022 children's picture book: nonfiction

This book was inspired by my son Damarius who grew up with a speech disorder called Childhood Apraxia of Speech. CAS is a motor speech disorder that makes it hard to speak. We hope to encourage families to seek help regardless of the speech disorder, sooner than later.
